On the Pleasant Street Stage…
Hosted By WSCA Portsmouth Community Radio
Check out the schedule – details to follow!
11:30am – 12:15pm
The Maine Marimba Ensemble
The Ensemble has become a Market Square Day favorite, featuring complex polyrhythmic arrangements of traditional and
contemporary Zimbabwean music.
12:45 – 1:30pm
NH Ukeladies
The Ukeladies was stablished in 2010 as a group of mostly women who wanted to learn to play the ukulele in their communities.
By 2021, the group gained new members and are currently comprised of 9 ukulele players, 3 lead singers, a guitarist, bass player and percussionist.
2:00 – 2:45pm
Dave Hunter and The Seven Hundred
Formed in 2025 on the back of two decades of original music making in the Northeast, Dave Hunter and the Seven Hundred is launching its live efforts by recapturing the best of the songs of his former award-winning band, The Molenes, while presenting newly penned songs in the same acclaimed amped-up Americana vein.
The Molenes performed at two Market Square Days during their run, plus a Summer In The Street Event, as well as making three appearances on the Prescott Park Arts Festival Stage and other notable venues throughout the northeast. This new band is very much an extension of that legacy, while also adding new original music in the same vein.
3:15 – 4:00pm
The Chickenshack Bluegrass Band
The Chickenshack Bluegrass Band is a dynamic bluegrass band with influences from classic rock, country and beyond.
With five lead singers and some high-octane harmonies, each song is entertaining and different from the song before it.
Please Note: All MSD performances (music, dance, etc.) are scheduled on the Pleasant Street Stage –
please respect our plan and refrain from setting up in other areas within the event footprint (refer to Event Map).
Only contracted artists and those with insurance and permission (Booth Spaces) may perform in the festival footprint during MSD.
Another Reminder: All Sidewalks in the Festival footprint must remain open/clear for pedestrian access.
This relates to all MSD Vendors and Downtown Businesses – racks, tents, tables, power cords, portable amplifiers, supplies cannot be on the sidewalk.
